Syllabuild ("Syllabuild," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you access or use the Syllabuild website, application, and related services.

By using Syllabuild, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account or sign in using Google, we may collect your name, email address, profile image, Google account identifier, and authentication status.

User-Generated Content

We collect content that you create, submit, upload, or generate through the platform, including curriculum maps, syllabi, lesson plans, pacing guides, educational prompts, uploaded documents, generated files, and related academic planning materials.

Subscription and Transaction Information

If you subscribe to paid services, we may collect subscription status, plan type, payment status, transaction references, renewal dates, cancellation history, and related billing records. We do not store full card numbers or banking credentials.

Technical and Usage Information

We may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, login timestamps, error logs, request logs, generated-content history, and usage activity to maintain security and improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage user accounts.
To authenticate users through email and password or optional Google Sign-In.
To generate educational content requested by users.
To save, retrieve, organize, and manage generated documents.
To create a dedicated Syllabuild folder in Google Drive when authorized by the user.
To manage subscriptions, trial eligibility, payments, and account access.
To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
To protect the platform from fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security threats.
To comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Google Sign-In and Google User Data

Syllabuild uses Google Sign-In to allow users to securely access the platform. When you sign in with Google, we may receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier.

We use this information only for account authentication, account creation, account identification, support, and platform access control.

4. Google Drive Access

If you grant Google Drive permission, Syllabuild may create and use a dedicated folder named "Syllabuild" in your Google Drive. This access is used to save and manage documents generated through the platform, such as curriculum maps, syllabi, pacing guides, and lesson plans.

Syllabuild does not access unrelated Google Drive files unless access is necessary for a feature you intentionally use and authorize. We request only the permissions necessary to provide the requested service.

Google API Limited Use Disclosure: Syllabuild's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features and is not sold or used for advertising.

5. Google Sign-In Processing

When you choose Google Sign-In, Syllabuild receives the account information needed to authenticate you and maintain your Syllabuild account. Syllabuild does not receive your Google password. Optional Google Drive features are authorized separately only when you choose to connect them.

6. Artificial Intelligence Services

Syllabuild uses AI services to generate educational materials based on user-provided inputs. Content submitted for generation may be processed by third-party AI providers solely to produce the requested output and support platform functionality.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the platform, including authentication providers, database providers, cloud storage providers, AI service providers, payment processors, and security tools.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Syllabuild, users, or the public.

8. Data Retention

We retain information as long as needed to provide services, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect platform security. Users may request deletion of account data as described in our Data Deletion Policy.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user information, including secure authentication, HTTPS, database access controls, permission management, and activity monitoring. However, no electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure.

10. User Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal information. You may unlink Google Sign-In in Syllabuild and manage connected third-party applications through your Google Account settings.

11. Children's Privacy

Syllabuild is intended for teachers, schools, administrators, and authorized educational users. Users below the age required by applicable law should use the platform only with permission and supervision from a parent, guardian, school, or authorized institution.

12. Third-Party Services

Syllabuild may integrate with third-party services such as Google Sign-In, optional Google Drive features, payment processors, and AI service providers. These services may have their own privacy policies and terms.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
