These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Syllabuild, an MTBCustoms product. By using the platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Syllabuild is an MTBCustoms educational technology platform that helps users create curriculum maps, syllabi, pacing guides, lesson plans, and related academic planning documents using AI-assisted tools.
2. Account Registration
You may be required to create an account or sign in using Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
- Use the platform only for lawful educational, professional, or administrative purposes.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, data, or services.
- Do not upload malicious code, harmful files, or unlawful content.
- Do not misuse AI generation features to create deceptive, harmful, infringing, or illegal content.
- Do not interfere with platform security, performance, or availability.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content that you upload, submit, or generate through Syllabuild. By using the platform, you grant Syllabuild the limited permission necessary to process, store, display, and generate content for your requested services.
5. AI-Generated Content
AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. Users are responsible for reviewing, editing, validating, and approving materials before professional, academic, institutional, or public use.
6. Standards and Curriculum Accuracy
Syllabuild may assist in aligning materials with standards, competencies, or curriculum frameworks. However, users remain responsible for confirming accuracy, compliance, and suitability for their school, district, state, country, or institution.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscription access, trial eligibility, renewal terms, cancellation rules, and payment processing may be managed through third-party payment providers. Fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law or expressly stated by Syllabuild.
8. Google Services
If you connect Google services, including Google Sign-In or Google Drive, you authorize Syllabuild to use those services only for platform functionality you request, such as authentication or saving generated files to your Google Drive.
9. Intellectual Property
Syllabuild owns the platform, software, website, branding, design, workflows, and related technologies. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, or exploit the platform except as permitted by these Terms.
10. Privacy
Your use of Syllabuild is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Account Suspension or Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe a user violated these Terms, created security risk, abused the platform, failed to pay required fees, or used the platform unlawfully.
12. Disclaimers
Syllabuild is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free outputs, complete accuracy, or fitness for a particular educational or institutional requirement.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Syllabuild and its owner shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page. Continued use of Syllabuild after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
